Which are the most used Google operators?
A:
Here we can distinguish two types of operators: Alternate Query Types and Query Modifiers.
Alternate queries:
info:
it shows some information (cache, similar to, inbound links from, outbound links to, web pages containing the term 'www.domain.com')
about a website (ex: info:www.domain.com) *
cache:
it will show the last cached version of a webpage (ex: cache:www.domain.com), in case we write a keyword term after, then it will
reveal the cached version of pages with the term highlighted usually with yellow (ex: cache:www.domain.com term) *
related:
it will list web pages which are related or with similar content (ex: related:www.domain.com) *
link:
it will list pages which have a link pointing to the home page of the domain for which the query has been launched (ex:
link:www.domain.com) *
Query modifiers:
inurl:
it lists web pages which have one of the terms in the URL address and the other(s) found in the content (see ex. inurl:google
operators) *
allinurl:
it lists web pages which URL addresses contain the searched query terms (ex. allinurl:google operators) will list only pages whose
URL address contain the terms or words 'google' and 'operators'. *
intitle:
much the same like 'inurl' with the difference that Google restricts search results to pages which contain the searched term in
their Title tag and the other terms at any place in the document (see ex. intitle:google operators) *
allintitle:
similar to 'allinurl' with the difference that Google is limiting its result listings to pages which contain all of the query words
in the Title tag (see ex. allintitle:google operators) *
site:
it will show pages containing the searched keyword within the domain after the 'site:' operator (ex. google operators site:www.google.com,
will reveal pages within www.google.com containing the term 'google operators')
* There is no space between the operator and URL or term!
