Explaining search engines' algorithms

Algorithm Also known as 'algo' or 'ranking algorithm' it is actually a programme which takes in consideration many factors before deciding how a web page should rank in the SERPs. Algorithms are using the data gathered by search engine spiders or robots indexed and stored in large databases. In order to combat SPAM, major search engines are regularly updating their algorithms and any SEO or search engine optimization company must constantly keep up with the new guidelines.

Search engines are known to keep it a secret the exact algorithm they are using and never reveal any details about them. Algorithms are constantly evolving with the main scope of improving their results for searchers who will for sure come back to that same search engine whenever they want to search for something.

At SEO Consulting Group we are carefully examining any 'algo update' and track those factors which are significant in the search engine result page listings or rankings. It doesn't mean we are building up new web pages solely for the search engine's algorithm like many other SEOs thus conducting to a failure of getting good ranking results! We are using the best white hat SEO tactics which are ethical and provide natural results when implemented.

Some key factors search engine algorithms use when ranking pages

One of these factors is the position of keyword phrases as well as how frequently they are used on a web page. If search engines will find the searched keywords in the title tags and headings they will relate that page to the topic of that keyword with the presumption that if they are mentioned right at the beginning in the headings the page itself is related to that topic.

Another factor is that new generation algorithms can filter out those pages which contain a very high frequency of a keyword term which is known as 'keyword stuffing' and those pages get blacklisted or banned as being considered spammy.

Finally there are also off the page factors like link analyzing, more exactly what is the quality of backlinks a certain web page has like the relevancy of the page from which a link is leading to the other webpage as well as the anchored text contains a specific keyword term. Another off the page factor is the measurement of the clickthrough rate when search engines are boosting pages which are more often clicked and lowering pages which are not attracting so many clicks despite their top rankings.
