'hits'
It is a request for a file (HTML page, image, other files) placed on a webserver.
'hidden text'
A hidden text (keyword) is invisible to the human eyes and visible to search engine spiders. It is usually done by adding the same
color of the text as the background. This technique now is most of the time spotted very easily by the search engines and
considered as 'spamdexing'.
'homepage'
Home page or index page is the very first page you can see whenever visiting a website. Sometimes the homepage is a nice flash or
design with the main navigations (ex: languages) on it.
'Hotbot'
Sometime ago it was the forth biggest search engine after Google, AllTheWeb and Wisenut. Check the website here:

'.htaccess' file
It is a configuration file in the root directory of a website and contains server directives telling the server how to behave.
Two common uses of these directives are the password protection of a directory or file and specifying a particular webpage whenever
a 404 error occurs.
'html'
Hypertext Markup Language. This is the primary language used to build up web pages.
'hub'
A website which has many outgoing links to other websites considered authorities in their industry. For ex. there are directories
which have many categories and each of them contain links to websites related to that topic or category.
'hyperlink'
It is a clickable content (ex. text, image) on a webpage which can lead to another website or other internal page on the same
website. Spiders are following hyperlinks to read the content of pages.
