'landing page'
A page where a visitor arrives at, usually by clicking through a paid advertisement. It is similar to the doorway pages.
'latent semantic indexing (LSI)'
The acronym for this is LSI or LSA (Latent Semantic Analysis) when the algorithm can determine the synonyms which are related to
a topic. This way, a page can get rankings for keywords which are not present on the page but related to the topic itself.
'lead'
Known as the most wanted result MWR. When a new customer has been gained.
'link/hyperlink'
Clickable content on a page either an image or text. Links lead to other internal pages or other part on the same page as well as to
other websites.
'link farm'
Also known as FFA (free for all pages) where anyone can submit a link to his site trying to boost his link popularity.
Search engines are penalizing websites associated with link farms.
'link popularity'
This is a measure of the quantity and quality of inbound links to a website. The more quality backlinks a website has
the highest rankings it can achieve in major search engine listings.
'link swap'
Also known as link exchange which is a way of reciprocating to each others' websites to boost link popularity.
